Best of: Marilyn Manson

Marilyn Manson has always been a big part of my life, not in a psycho fan kind of way. It was a shocker to a close minded people from the small town I grew up in, mainly because of all the associations: satanism, devil, drugs, murders, etc.

As many others, I’ve found something more in Marilyn Mansons music, a release to all my feelings, my freakishness, weird hobbies and interests. Don’t get me wrong, I was never into killing small animals and playing satanists in my parents backyard. But for a small town audience, I was a freak.

What made me even more proud of being the local freak was, I myself was born on Jan 5th, just like Brian Hugh Warner. And what better day to celebrate my all time favourites, if not today, on our birthday. So, without further ado,  here are my top 10 tracks of Marilyn Manson.

Decade wrap-up

It’s 2020, if you haven’t noticed yet and what better way to kick off new year and new decade by writing a totally cliche decade wrap-up post. I know, what you’re all thinking, another one of those weird posts, filled with Spotify links and playlists. I did consider it for a while and then it hit me. I wanted to do something different, reaching the depths of my memory, focusing on the albums that kind of shaped each year of the last decade for me. It doesn’t mean I only listen to one album the whole year, I’m not a freak, but those are just he reminders of how I felt back then.

I could explain, why each and every album I’ve listed is still very close to my heart, but we would be here until next year, trust me. If you fancy, take a listen, all of the listed albums hold a special place in my heart. And if you fancy sharing your own list, just let me know.

For all MM fans, who were secretly crossing out days in their diary, but acting like it never bothered them to wait so long for a new album (obviously talking about myself here), we can finally breath deeply, as the new album is right around the corner and we can enjoy autumn in it’s fullest. What better way to celebrate the excitement of upcoming Halloween, than with a new single and record by yours truly, Marilyn Manson.

WE KNOW WHERE YOU FUCKING LIVE is not just an obnoxious way to name a song in all caps, but also a way to express yourself, isn’t it? Like you were not thinking it a million times every day? Exactly.

Music video has a American Horror Story vibe, except you won’t see clowns, but sexy nuns. And I really mean sexy nuns, stripper high heels and latex, accompanied by usual violence. It’s something you need to see for yourselves. Go on, off you go.
